At WatchTraderHub, we take your privacy seriously. As a dealer-built platform operating in the European Union, we fully comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains your rights and how to exercise them.

Your Rights Under GDPR

1. Right to Access (Article 15)

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of this data.

What you'll receive:

  • All personal information we store
  • How we use your data
  • Who we share it with (if anyone)
  • How long we keep it

2. Right to Rectification (Article 16)

Found an error in your data? You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected or incomplete data completed.

Examples:

  • Incorrect company name
  • Outdated email address
  • Wrong VAT number

3. Right to Erasure - “Right to be Forgotten” (Article 17)

You can request deletion of your personal data when:

  • It's no longer needed for the original purpose
  • You withdraw consent
  • You object to processing
  • Data was unlawfully processed

Important exceptions:

  • Financial records required by Bulgarian tax law (7 years)
  • Active invoices and transaction history
  • Data needed for legal claims

4. Right to Data Portability (Article 20)

You can receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transfer it to another service.

What's included:

  • Your inventory data
  • Account information
  • Customer records
  • Sales history
  • All data you've provided to us

Format: JSON or CSV (your choice)
Delivery: Secure download link sent to your registered email

5. Right to Restrict Processing (Article 18)

You can request we limit how we use your data while:

  • You contest its accuracy
  • Processing is unlawful but you don't want deletion
  • We no longer need it but you need it for legal claims
  • You've objected to processing pending verification

6. Right to Object (Article 21)

You can object to:

  • Processing based on legitimate interests
  • Direct marketing (including our newsletter)
  • Processing for research/statistical purposes

When you object, we'll stop processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds.

7. Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making (Article 22)

Good news: WatchTraderHub doesn't use automated decision-making or profiling that significantly affects you. All important decisions about your account are made by humans (specifically, me).

How to Exercise Your Rights

Making a Request

Simply email us at support@watchtraderhub.com from your registered email address with:

  • Which right you're exercising
  • What specific action you want us to take

Example: “I'd like to exercise my right to data portability. Please send me all my data in CSV format.”

Identity Verification

  • From registered email: Request processed immediately
  • From different email: We'll send verification questions to confirm your identity

Our Response Time

  • Legal requirement: Within 30 days
  • Our typical response: Within 24 hours (though not guaranteed)
  • Complex requests: We'll inform you if we need more time

Cost

All GDPR requests are processed free of charge.

Exception: Excessive or repeated requests may incur a reasonable fee or be refused.

What Happens to Your Data

During Active Use

Your data is stored securely on EU-based servers and used only as described in our Privacy Policy.

After Account Deletion

  • Immediate: Account deactivated, access removed
  • Within 30 days: All personal data permanently deleted
  • Exceptions: Financial records retained for 7 years per legal requirements

Data We Must Keep

Bulgarian and EU law requires us to retain:

  • Invoices and financial transactions (7 years)
  • Records of GDPR requests (3 years)
  • Legal correspondence and disputes (6 years)

Special Circumstances

Deceased Users

In the event of a user's death, authorized representatives may contact us with appropriate legal documentation to request account closure and data handling per applicable law.

Minor's Data

WatchTraderHub is not intended for anyone under 18. If we discover we've collected data from a minor, we'll delete it immediately.

Law Enforcement Requests

We only provide user data to law enforcement with valid legal orders. We'll notify you unless legally prohibited.
